Fuel pressure gauge question.

So as many of you know installing a aeromotive FPR in the Fd engine bay is a pain in the ----. If you are not installing it behind the altenator then its behind the manifold. So I managed to fit it behind the manifold but my gauge wont fit.

1-So my question leads me to this. Can I install my fuel pressure gauge on my Jegs Y-block port?
2- If so the FPR reads pressure only before the return line right so anywhere before the fpr will have the same pressure?

My fuel system-
-8AN feed line once it gets up front it hits the JEGS Y-BLOCK wich splits -6AN lines into each rail running parallel then hit the Fuel pressure regulator finally returning back to the tank -6AN return.

funny, i was searching for this last night.. after reading i came to the conclusion the gauge needs to be on the FPR or before it (on the return line) if you put the fp gauge after the FPR it will only read the excess? or waste...

hahah nice drawing.... still better than vj's infamous turbo setup drawing ahaaha

if the info i read is correct, i believe the sender has to be on the return side..

EDIT: did more research and some say the return isnt pressurized so you may not get a correct reading. can someone confirm this?

not to thread jack but can i run my lines like this?

feed>primaries >secondary> fuel pressure gauge> FPR> return

or do i have to switch my gauge/fpr to the feed line like alex?

It should work because the pressure is built up before the fpr. I believe the FPR is where it relieves pressure to the return.

Muibubbles -I have ran this same set up on my FC and had great numbers no fuel issues at all. Very simple and eachr ail has its own line . I dont like the infamouse "snake" or rail to rail then FPR set ups.

I will take pics soon it looks sick man!

It's the dual feed system, I've used that on my MX-6.

Everything before the return line should have the same pressure, tho most people prefer reading right at the FPR. Are you going to drill/tap the Y-block or you bought one with a 1/8" NPT tap already there?

Mines already has the 1/8" port just want to make sure it will be the same readings I get. Yes, its best at the FPR but my set up doesnt allow me to do It .

That should be fine, I have read somewhere that there could be small pressure difference before and after injectors, but I don't know if that's true.
