fuel pressure after shut off

i was wondering how long should the car hold fuel pressure after shut off. i am running 550/1600 injectors, walbro fuel pump + aeromotive fpr. fuel pressure is set at 60psi as soon as I shut the car off drops to 45 psi than after 5 min drops to 25psi and 1/2 hour later drops to 0 psi. is this normal ? thanks for the help

This is rather normal. if you lost pressure instantly after shut of I would be worried.

I can only think of 4 things that really contain the pressure in the fuel system.

1. Pressure regulator
2. lines and fitting conections
3. Injectors
4. Check valve on fuel pump.

I would think that the fuel pumps check valve would be the most common reason for this to happen.

Also the pressure regulator holds pressure durring a flowing state. I don't think it is desighned to hold a pressure while there is nothing flowing through it.

60 psi seems a little high. I beleave it should be some were around 45 at idle.
