there is so much BS and misinformation in this thread. i hope nobody takes much of this to heart!
here's the **** i can remember:
1. clogged fuel filter causes a lean condition, not rich!
2. changing your oil too frequently is retarded. 13b's die from coolant seal failure or apex seal failure: keeping your journal bearings pristine will affect neither of these conditions. the e-shafts will not wear out and the bearings are cheap!
wanna be paranoid? change oil @ 3k, premix, and change coolant, brake fluid, and gear oils semi annually. you do any more for a street car in proper condition and you have a problem.
3. veger, you're argument only proves that you are a wasteful and gluttonous fool as far as oil goes. stop while you're behind.
4. gasoline smell in the oil has nothing to do with apex seals

10% fuel dilution (on average) is part of the game with these engines....I use Mobil 1 20w-50 and change it every 2k miles
