Fuel mod questions , just a little help
hi guys
Car is currently set up with standard injectors but i'm going buy a complete fuel package as ill be installing BNR stage 3s this summer. Just need a couple of questions answering please...
Im looking at a complete CJ motorsport fuel set up like this in the link below
CJM FPD Fuel System
I don't want to have a crap idle so I really wanted to keep my 550cc primary injectors but with this kit you need top feed injectors, what injector do I buy to replace the primarys. Personally I wanted 2000cc injector dynamics for the secondarys, so would like injector dynamics primarys but smallest they do is 725 cc, would car run ok with these injectors in primary.
Now a silly question, if I replaced all the fuel system with 725 primary, 2000 secondary, would the car start and run and possibly drive 30 miles to my tuner?

What is you HP goal? How much boost are you going to be running? If you are planning on staying at or below 14 psi just drop in some 1300cc secondaries and keep the primaries stock. This would allow you to use the commander to change the seconadary size and drive to your tuner just fine.

Was planning around 18psi maybe 19 psi max (may have to go with aux injection),, The only other way to do it is to just buy a secondary rail and put in bosch 1800cc injectors , but then there is resistors ect,,
I wanted a complete kit that's why I looked at that CJ rail setup. I want to install all the fuel set up and driver the car to tuner, if I kept primarys at 500cc will the car driver fine with no boost.

You are going to need AI, 3 bar map sensor and a good tuner. Not to mention all the other ignition, drivetrain and cooling mods.
You might want to look at the FFE secondary rail for the 2000cc injectors, I might be wrong but I think they offer an option that keeps the stock primary.

The 725's work great for primaries, in my experience you can lean idle out as far as the engine will tolerate without using any negative lag. However I would agree with what Banzai recommended, if you can run the 2000cc secondaries and oem primary rail and injectors it sounds like a cheaper and simpler solution.

If you do still end up sticking with the stock primary rail, FFE does indeed sell a banjo adapter that converts to a 6AN:
