Fuel Kits and Injector Choice!
Hey guys, apropos to my question about injectors the other day, I am now wondering what the best set up is for fuelling my single turbo build.
There are two main kits I can see:
Both around $1,500 with injectors. Which of the two kits do people have experience or feedback on? The pictures of the CJ Motorsports kit looks quite comprehensive and it has few more listed features (like the Fuel Pulsation Dampener). What's the going recommendation?
My second question is about injectors with that set-up, I'm shooting for 4-500whp and want to make it (safely) primarily on 98RON pump fuel, possibly with the option to go to E85.
ID released 1300cc injectors not that long ago, anyone running them? 4x1300 would be sufficient, surely?
Popular options I've seen (except 1300's)
Any advice/thoughts would be great!

I bought both back in the day and i can say that they are both quality brands. I picked up the CJM stage one kit but then swapped to the cosmo 13B-RE intake manifolds. The thing i liked about the CJM are the extra pre-drilled ports on the Sec rail. A fuel pressure sensor and the fitting on the side of the rail for ease of routing the fuel to the primary rail. Also their non-FPD Sec rail has the option of being used with the Excessive LIM (4 injectors in the sec rail) just by sending it back to them to be drilled out. So if you ever wanted to upgrade to that LIM you would be covered.
The FFE rail is great too. Its very sturdy. But doesn't have the extra features.
500+ HP...you need to figure out what Turbo setup you are going with first and then build your system around the turbo's needs.

I too am putting together my fuel system to cater to single turbo and then e85.
Since I'm still using a PFC, my setup will be 725/2000.
Whether piecing together, or buying a kit, make sure all filters/pumps/fpr are compatible with e85. Fuelab has inline filters (down to 6 micron) and FPRs that are e85 friendly.
You will see a lot of e85 people running 2000cc injetors as primary and secondary.

Unless running pure methanol, stay away from any leading injector larger than the ID 725 primary.
Best setup is the IDs 725/2000, good for gas and E85 for your power range.

Thanks for the input guys, considering swapping to a Haltech PS1000 for the build, I guess that would let me run 1000 Primaries. Nothing about the 1300's?

I just recently switched to the FFE fuel rails and I have to say they are amazing. NO issues what so ever. Also as far as I know, you do not need the fuel pulsation dampener if you are going to run an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator (someone correct me if I'm wrong). I am currently running the following set-up:
Fuel Rails:
Full Function Engineering primary and secondary rails
Injectors:
Primary: ID 2000's (zero issues idling on gas or E85)
Secondary: Bosch 1680's
Third Rail (added 2 injector bung/holders to the outside of my lower intake manifold): Bosch 1680's
I will say I am running a full bridge 2 rotor but I was able to get it to idle at 1400 rpms with no issues (previous set-up and tune we had it in the 1800-2000 range).

Pre-assembled and ready to bolt on. We use this on nearly all the single turbo cars we build. And with a Power FC I suggest not going larger than 725 for the primaries. You will never get a perfect idle or good cruising afrs. With other computers its not so much an issue.
