which fuel injectors to use with this build?

Working on piecing together a shopping list for parts and figured id ask here for which injectors would be best for the build

CJ Motorsports complete fuel system w/ FPR
Walbro 400lph in tank fuel pump
GTX35R single turbo kit
RE track v-mount
Greddy Elbow
HKS Twin power ignition
Apexi PFC
Resonated midpipe
HKS Hi Power exhaust
GM 3 bar map sensor

RX7store sells the CJ motorsports fuel system with options for 850cc/1680cc bosche injectors or 1000cc/2200cc injector dynamics, should I run with one of these choices or get do something else?

Might want to check out this web site. Several on this forum have gone to IDs. Looks like you should have the hardware for them.

A few thoughts....

Injectors - I highly recommend not going with the 850cc/1680cc bosche injectors. I currently have this configuration with an FJO injector driver on my PFC and wish that I would have went with the ID's at the time. First of all, 850cc is too large for a primary. Take a stroll over to the PFC forum and you will see many threads of individuals just like myself with a pig rich idle and low load and rpm driveability issues. Secondly, This is old technology. These injectors were designed in the 80's... They simply aren't a good choice. I personally will be switching over to 720cc/2000cc ID injectors when I start running over 20psi. Why Rx7store chooses the 1000/2000 combo on the ID's is a little unusual. The 720's still provides enough fuel for over 500whp, and keeps your primaries small enough to be very tuneable. The fact that the EV-14 based ID's themselves are extremely more controllable helps as it sits. I have heard of the 1000's as primaries being still very tuneable, but for me, I wouldn't risk it. That is a huge injector for the demand of fine tuning for street driving and idle. Everyone seems to love the 720/2000 combo.

Build - You're parts list looks good. However, your power goals look a bit high for pump gas and stock ports. Though I don't know much about the newer GTX's, I would be surprised if you hit those numbers without auxiliary injection. I know you have seen my build and numbers. On a conservative tune, I am limited to 15psi. Remember that all tanks of gas aren't created equal. I assume you have a good tuner lined up. Keeping that margin of safety will keep you from rebuilding your engine and possibly turbo...

It's ALL about the auxiliary injection with a mid-framed turbo. My 35R was JUST stepping into it's efficiency at 15psi. Once ready, I will be seeing what 25psi does. And my manual pre-turbo water injection will make it all possible on pump gas.

I am also interested in hearing more about the new Walbro.... The word Walbro is like the name Adolf. It's just hard to get past sometimes.

I personally will be running CJ's tank insert with dual Supra's.

your most def right that would be aiming way too high on just pump gas without aux injection. Aquamist HFS3v2 water/meth injection system w/ rx7 was one of the first things I purchased for the upcoming build, already got it sitting at home waiting for me(currently deployed to Afghanistan gonna be home in Jan)

If you can keep the stock primaries and run ID2000's I think that would be the best setup. Should idle AND flow.

Ditto.

That combo will support more power than that GTX35R can make.

If the injectors are purchased through us we supply a good PFC base map for them.

Hotwheelz,
Injector Dynamics claims their injectors can run well at high fuel pressures (some older injectors won't open against high fuel pressure), but that doesn't mean that high fuel pressure is required.

xIceHoundx,
My car has ID1000 primaries, and they run just fine at 45psi base fuel pressure. I'm not familiar with the quirks of the PFC, but with stock ports and an AEM EMS my car idles smooth at 13.0 AFR when the engine is warm.

when i go single i was planning to go stock 550 and id2000, seems like more than enough fuel even at 20psi+. plus running 550/2000 still gives you more fuel than 850/1600s

DO NOT run 850's as primaries. You will regret it with a street car. Reed my post above. And reed this...

When you do the fuel injectors I have a bunch of options that you can do. I have all the ID injectors so you can do different primarys if you want along with the 2200's.
Just add a meth kit and you could push 500RWHP on pump gas.

If you can't afford injectors, an FD isn't what you should be building.

Fuel delivery is THE most important part of keeping your car alive.
