Fuel Filter Question

I am going to change the fuel filter in my car this weekend and was wondering if i have to cut of the fuel, or does fuel not flow through the car with out the key turned one?? Let me know ASAP!! Thanks

i did mine on friday and it wasnt that bad. took me about an hour including finding it in the first place. i didnt cut the fuel, theres not really a huge amount in there as the pump isnt running when the ignition isnt on. it is kinda fiddly - i had the car on a hoist to do it which probly made it easier. just follow one of the how-to's and its fairly straight forward. thats what i did

Saline solution works well when you do get gas in your eyes. It was one of the worst feelings in my life. I now wear safety glasses every time I touch the pressurized side of the fuel system. Tricky part was finding my way back into the house and the saline solution while blind. Water in the sink just doesn't cut it.

It really isn't that bad... just expect to get a little gas on you and definitely watch your eyes.

well gas will def come out but its worse when you have the key to the on position as you are pressurizing the lines..

correct me if im wrong

take a towel and put in in ur arm pits, the gas will sray out and go down ur face/neck into your armpits and burn the heck out of em :-) (hahahah)
