front end conversion is 3 days????

heres the start , well on the day of the jgtc event i kinda had a mishap in the canyons not bad just cracked the bumper and was think about replacing it with anoyther bumper soon, then i saw this post

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=405121 (3-16-05)

who can resist??

i picked it up the same day with mike (spirit rotary 7)

got home and started lookin for a 99 lip, found one and guy wanted to do a straight up trade for my used R1 lip for his new 99 lip

paint : well my shop owner just got a r33 then he knew that i polished and so we made a deal i polish his intake manifold ect...

so paint was free and done oevrnight with ppg flexi paint for urethane

then mounting

heres some pics

ordered the plates already should be here monday or tuesday

hey roman heres the pic with the r33 AND ME AT THE SHOW ( when i needed your plate for Sat )

enjoy.. and yes 3 days for a full front end conv finished today 3-19-05

man the skylines are some fat ugly cars compared to just about anythingIMO. Flame on bandwagoneers..
get your car away from it before some of the ugly crosses over to yours

sorry but they are just too shoeboxy for me.

Your car looks very nice though. way better than that blob next to it....Am i being to rough on the poor thing? sorry

I like the old one better. I still can't get over that license plate holder on the 99's spec Rx-7's. Its funny to me that people bash all of the crazy bodykits that people put on their cars one sec and then love the 99 spec the next. It completely ruins the lines of the car imho.

^^ Ditto that 100% Just about any front flows better. But hey that is J-spec man. So it has to be cool. ( still looks better than the R33 though)

It's alright but i would grab one without the plate,HOWEVER i believe he has front plate requirments so this is a easier way to have the best of both worlds. Drilling holes in a expensive front bumper tends to make most cringe. I know it did to me. now i am moving to a state that does not require them. Go figure!

So did you end up modifying the stock rebar and using the foam spray, or did you get the 99 rebar?
