it had about 7 layers of crappy maaco quiality paint on it, and it was all cracking and chipping off. also the last time it was repainted they didnt put any flex in the paint so it looked like ****. it also had the ever-to-common sag between the center of the bumper and the headlight covers which always drove me crazy.. so the idea was to get rid of that the best we could.

Why don't you take it off the car to work on it?

No reason to yet.. the car isn't leaving the garage. It will come off to get it sprayed eventually.

sanding the 7 layers must have been like eating a jaw breaker, now it looks very good what color are you going to paint it?

Haha yeah.. it was wierd..and horrible for trying to tell what was already sanded. It went clear - black - primer - black - primer - stock VR (bumper was origonally red i guess) - stock primer. It's going to be painted stock brilliant black to match the rest of the car whenever its finished.. and then I have to fix the back bumper (its got the same problem.. bunch of spider web cracks because of lack of a flex agent). We still have a lot of work to go on the front though, around the turn signals and the bottom half of the bumper as still crap.
