Frame Work

Yeah I bought an RX7 and recently I found out that the front of my frame was messed up. Did anone else ever have a problem where you had to take you car to a body shop. Any idea on how much the frame rebuild would be. I'm tight on money right now so I need to know. I'm pretty new to the forms so any tips on how to keep my RX7 running well would be helpful.

If you tear the car down and take it to a good bodyshop they should be able to fix it no problem. Print a couple pics of the first car out and show them.

what do you mean by frame rebuild? Post pics of whats wrong and Ill tell you what needs to be done and give you a rough estimate on how much it will cost. Jeff it is rediculous the length you went to fix that yellow car, I hope you got a great deal on the inital purchase price to make up for all the time and money you put into it.

I agree that's alot of money. But 93 CYM R1 was a pretty rare car, and even more so now. If I had Jeff's resources, I might have. I've spent about that on another (antique) car, relative to it's value and I did much of the work. And neither of our cars is likely to depreciate as quickly as most.

That is the truth brother....

The up side was the CYM had a fresh engine, suspension bushings, brakes, clutch, rebuilt trans, etc. It didn't need EVERYTHING, just a new body.

Damn that's quite a bit of money. To tell you the truth I'm only 17 and that's going to take quite a while for me to get it fixed. That much money is going to make my pockets hurt for a while.
