FPR/FPD replacement difficult?
I've always had minor hot start problems and I figure that my FPR might need to be replaced (compression is good :) ). I'm going to be removing my airpump in the next few weeks, so I'll be taking the UIM off (to block off the ACV and AWS) and was thinking of replacing the FPR while I'm in there (and the FPD). Are these difficult pieces to get to? I looked in the manual and it doen't look too bad, but it can be decieving sometimes. Anything I should know about replacing these parts?
Thanks.

when doing the fpd, you gotta becareful of a few other things like the injector insulators (i tore mines and it took about 2 weeks for me to get another pair). in anycase, its not very hard if you take off the lim but its kind of a bitch to get that off if your only going after the fpd. you might want to take a look at the rotaryaviation videos on how to pull a fd's engine to find out where everything is and for precautions to take off the rats nest and other items in order to get to the primary injectors (those things are really in there!). on another note, you will probally need to take off the primary fuel injectors and unhook that line which goes to the secondary fuel rail to take off the fpd. As for the fpr, you should be able to easily get to that. its 100X easier to get to as it sits right on top of the end of the secondaries, right before it goes back to the fuel return lines.
good luck and becareful of what your doing and you should be fine. oh yeah, quite a bit of people have a small flooding problem right after they change out their fpd for some reason so just beaware of this.
P.S. idk how the hell i got the injector insulators and injectors to sit so nicely the first time i tried with the LIM still attached, apparently I got super lucky. i still dont know of anyway to know if you got them in there and to sit nicely unless you put her back together and start her up. if you have a really high idle, its probally because the insulators arn't sitting nicely and its leaking a bit of air near the area where the injector areas is... then again it could be becuase of one of the 60 other vaccum hoses which might not be hooked up nicely...
