found when i took off oil filter

i was changing my oil and i found this. can anyone tell me what it is. it looks like it fits on the oil pump outlet. when it was in the cars the oil presshure was 30-60 and when i took it out it was at 30- 80. can anyone help me.

i forgot to say that i found it when i took the oil filter off.

Looks like part of the filter.
Looks similar to whats inside a aftermarket oil filter that we fit on mx5's.
Could be the same on your filter ?

If you had a FRAM filter on, its not part of the filter.

also is what is normal for an FD oil presshure. now it seems to go up to that hash mark above 60 and below 120. then i get on it. is that average.

Sounds normal. Sounds like it was reducing pressure before.
