Found out what my extra button is for

After searching the manual for my headlight trim I found the headlight cleaning system. Now i know what that extra washer button in my car is from... The button and pump sound like they are working fine, however the injector nozzles hoses and everything up front is gone... anyone have any clue where i can start peicing this system back together from?

I think only the Canadian models came with the headlight washers. If our dealers don't have the parts maybe check a Canadian dealer??

Check to see if the previous owner re-plumbed the injectors to be an intercooler sprayer.

Why don't you post this question in the Canadian forum (regional forums here on the board) They can most likely help out.

Well you could understand that this button was for headlight cleaning system simply from the mark on it....

and clean that console!

BTW italian FDs came with that system as well with rear fog light and headlight height adjustment
that's how our console is full-filled with switches!
i noticed that you do not have these as well as may of you have an "alarm-system" light on it (we don't)

Okay, that would explain the extra usually "blank" switch in even loaded touring models... I would like to see the headlight adjustment thing in a euro FD... Pic Please ???

I would suggest that you don't waste your time / money reparing this system unless you are going for a total stock resto or something. It doesn't do much IMO - I also have a Canadian FD and NEVER use the squirters. Maybe it is because in Seattle it is always raining and I don't need it... It would be of much greater use for something else such as IC sprayer, fan mod switch, etc.

If you already have the nozzles and switch and the system works, convert it to an IC sprayer system then!

Will look very stock, and will be functional for your IC.

Not italian but a swedish one, e-spec either way:

The headlight height adjuster is to the right of the ashtray. It's a little cylinder that rolls forward/backward to lower/raise the beams and clicks into 5 or so different settings.

I know you can't really see what it looks like in that pic, but I couldn't find a better one.

intresting...ever put the shifter into reverse and noticed ur headlights dipped a good 4"? Does it just lower the actual housing or adjust the beam??

Everytime. We all have to get shortshifters to avoid it

It adjusts the beam, something moves inside the light housings, not the housing itself.
