Boost leak. You need to upgrade to the Efini Y-pipe.

The Efini Y-pipe is a good upgrade whether you are having problems or not. If you are seeing oil leaking from that spot, the Efini Y-pipe will solve that problem. However, depending on the amount of oil that is going through that area, it may be turbo rebuild time.

Be certain it's coming from that connection. The hard oil line to the stock twins splices directly under there as well.

no, the oil is coming UP and BETWEEN the coupler...so I am positive its coming from that connection.

turbo still spools fine... just leaking sometimes and boost spike sometimes...

but umh...the engine is at 70K....

Nah don't fix it. Just let the motor blow.

Do you read this forum at all? Tech section or just the lounge?

The FD isn't really that bad of car, people like you running around with KNOWN problems, then complaining of blown motors, that is what gives the FD a bad name.

Get the Efini pipe and SOLVE the boost spikes. IF you don't you will buy a new motor.

Personally I don't see how you have both boost spikes and a boost leak...
