I am trying to get the blank to put in fog light switch. I am having problems popping the blank out. Is there a trick? I have already put some small scratches into the recessed area around the blank so am aksing to be sure I can just pop it off.

How have any of you done this?

You have to remove it from the bottom.

Remove the shifter ****. Remove the ash tray. Lift the center console up until it "unsnaps". Then just take out the screws and pop it out.

 

victor, you have to take the lower consol apart. It goes something like this

remove the shiftknob,

pull up on the lower console, the metal clips will disengage from the housing.

disconnect the 2 or 3 electrial wirings (defog,security, over heat exhaust)

then turn it upside down and you will see the screws that hold it in place.
