i was never sure if the cosmo manifold fit on an FD. if someone out there has a pic of it on an FD then post it.

btw i think what's-his-name from SR motorsports had that manifold on one of his last engines.

Turbo_F1 have you seen these manifolds on ebay before? i've never thought to look. thanks.

You have a REW not an RE, the RE is the cosmo block. As far as I remember the cosmo intake does not bolt upto the fd LIM. You couldnt use the cosmo LIM because the ports are different sizes.

i have a pic of a cosmo manifold too from my "RX-7 Owner's Book" (japanese) and they got this pic of the manifolds:
FC, Cosmo & FD

the cosmo manifold is Sequential Twin Turbo like it says so isn't that gonna connect to the cosmo LIM the same way it would to an FD LIM? ...aren't the LIMs identical seeing how they're both TT and the FC isn't?

I don't know too much about cosmos but it makes sense to me that twin turbo UIMs and LIMs should be able to mix and match with eachother while the NON twin tubro UIM & LIM should be the "odd man out" and not fit correctly.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, Mike

Yeah but it could be little things like a stud not lineing up too.

In a N/A FC, they moved one stud on the LIM for 86-88 to 89-91 makeing them not very easy to mix and match.

The same kind of thing probably holds true for the cosmo manifold weither it be a bolt not lining up or the ports not lining up.

sorry for the late reply, I see them all the time on ebay just never knew. It really would look nice polished on top of the motor.
