Flywheel nut is beaten!

Just had to share that I won! That 54 mm bolt put up a good fight, but in the end it was no match!

Took a couple of days trying different things. In the end heat, four or five applications of pb blast and a 5 foot pipe over an 18 inch breaker bar got it. I cannot explain how much force me and my bro put on it to beak it loose and we are both in the 200 lb club. Just glad it finally gave.

I am sure some may laugh at me but I don't have a thousand ft-lb air ratchet to do the job. 300 ft lb ratchet was a joke. It didn't budge a bit.

If you think the flywheel one is hard, try the front e shaft bolt. Air doesn't work for the front but does for flywheel bolt.

DOH! The front fastener for the E-Shaft is a bolt, but the flywheel is attached with a "NUT".

You both failed on the flywheel fastener.

Man that front e shaft bolt was a pain. I ended up using a pipe wrench to remove it. The bolt is not so pretty anymore after using the pipe wrench. Gotta replace the bolt.

What methods did you guys use ?

haha I typed that on my phone earlier, It autocorrect hahaha.

Stop the flywheel from spinning somehow, use a 3 foot long breaker bar with a long pipe on the end with it with your weight and like 4 guys to hold the engine down. Off comes the e shaft bolt.

I ended up buying flywheel holder tools from Mazdatrix for the reinstall. They were affordable and fits well.
