Flooding and FI Cleaner

I got my car running again after it flooded. My guess is that it flooded due to leaky injectors so I'm considering getting them rebuilt or buying new ones. Until then though I'm thinking about running some STP FI cleaner through the car until I make my mind up. Anyone notice anything good or bad with using FI cleaners in your FD?

Actually, now that I think about it, my question is poorly worded and is not what I'm really asking.

My real question is does anyone think it will help the leaky injectors or should I just not waste my time and just have them rebuilt?

I'd say that using the STP for that problem would be wasting your time. If you think the injectors are faulty, just get them repaired.

Good luck!

My $0.02 is what can it hurt to try a quality injector cleaner? At least it might help verify that leaking injector(s) is the real problem. If it keeps leaking, send'em out or just replace.

I've used injector cleaner in my '95 FD for a while at regular intervals. I think it helps keep the injection system working better. There are several other threads about this subject, too.
