Hoping you all may be able to help. I have used the search function, and have concluded it "might" be a flood issue, but really not sure. I have a 1993 automatic FD that won't start. If it's a flood issue, I'll try some of the things you all have indicated in previous threads (WOT, turn for 15 seconds, pedal open, turn for 15 seconds, repeat).

Anyways, details are below as I have a few problems:

I barely drove the car this winter as it hardly ever left my garage. The battery ended up dying since I didn't start it for awhile. I bought a new
battery, but it still doesn't start. The car sounds like its trying to start,
but just won't. Also, I noticed the turbo timer doesn't turn on either.
Lastly, my key chain/alarm that unlocks-locks the doors doesn't lock/unlock the doors anymore, but still will turn on the alarm. I believe my car had some control on it that wouldn't turn over if the alarm was not set correctly, and don't know if it could be a reason for the car not starting. I have no clue if any of these issues are related, or if its just separate issues all together.

The car ran perfect prior to the battery dying.

If you guys could let me know if it may be flooded, or if the turbo timer/alarm could be causing the problems, I'd appreciate it.

When you turn the ignition to the on position without cranking, do you hear the fuel pump running? Might just be a blown fuse.

 

I'm not sure if I heard the fuel pump running? How do you know if it's running or not?

Also, I noticed that when I open the doors, the interior light doesn't turn on (even if i try and turn them on manually). If I turn the key to the "on" position, the stereo, air conditioner, etc. doesn't turn on. Nothing. The battery is brand knew and it cranks, but the car won't start. I still don't know if this is an alarm system issue, turbo timer issue (as the turbo timer won't turn on either), or if it's a problem w/ the car in general.

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

First, check all the fuses. The ones by the kickpanel on the drivers-side and the main ones in the engine bay of the battery.
If you blew the main 120A fuse (in engine bay) the car will crank but not turn over.
If all the fuses check out ok, disconnect the turbo timer. It's a pretty useless gadget on these cars anyhow.

If all that fails, I'd start looking if the engine is indeed flooded. Pull the plugs and see if they're wet.
