Flaming formula?

I have a streetported FD with no cats or that rubbish, full 3" exh. but not finished yet. Do I expect some nice flames out my exh. with this setup, and will it still flame with an Apex Dual N1 system?

Just curious coz nothing makes me happier than a " Braaap, WOOOF! out the exhaust", taking the eyebrows off anyone behind the car. Ok well not quite but you get what I'm saying...it looks really cool and scares off any wannabe racers

First off all you are going to get flamed for asking this question. Shooting flames out your exhaust is a waste of fuel. The only thing that you can expect is a blown motor with a full 3" turbo back exhaust. Your boost will spike and then bye bye motor. You should really do some research before doing these mods to your car. Also I don't see an ecu upgrade let alone a boost controller. Good luck is all I have to say.

he was just asking if it would flame like it normally does with an apexi dual N1... hes not planning on putting a flamethrower on it....

Yes, you should see some nice flames. But over here it is considered pretty 'ricey' (Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements) or something only silly Honda boys do.

i was just wondering because i thought maybe the exhaust splitting in two at the catback might kill the flame, obviously its not my number one priority, its called exaggeration, but a flame throwing motor always looks cool

all rotaries(to my knowledge) experience afterburn, the richer you run, the bigger the flame.

I will admit, it's pretty badass, but it's not exactly something that we like to talk about around here unless it's in refference to "I'm on my goddamned third rear bumper, what the **** can I do to tone the flames down?"

and at flaming in a thread about getting flames from a rotary...
