Im from nz and we have HEAPS of skylines down here.
I have no respect for them. They are just another FAMILY car that had the option to come with a motor that has potential. They are not a pure sports car like the FD. and id be dissapointed if your new rebuild in your lightweight FD didnt better a mere 250kw skyline.
As a former Second Gen Rx owner, and currently doing a Skyline GT-R (key words) as a current project car, and with strong intentions to go back to the rotary world (3rd gen) soon enough....you sound like a total moron.

Tell that to the guys with the R32 GT-Rs who raced in Group A and Bathurst and pretty much kicked everyone's ***.

And tell me, why can a "souped up family car" run a 54 second time at tsukuba circuit, while a lighter "sportscar bred" FD3S can only run a 55? On a course that FAVORs the lighter, more responsive FD. They may be "boats" in your eyes, but we got a few things in our favor to negate that.

Both cars are powerful in their own ways (The FD IS a purer sports car, and the Skyline GT-R is a Grand Touring Sportscar), but if you can't respect a car just because you "got plenty of them" and cannot seem to comprehend things on a bigger picture, you are an idiot.

lol, have you ever owned a Skyline?

My previous car prior to buying my FD was an R32 Gts-t. It is anything but a "family car." With my HKS coilovers and KTS suspension arms, it handles better than my FD (so far anyways). Along with the RB20 and my HKS 2530 (pushed just over 300rwhp) it was a sick car. I almost regret selling it... but hey, onto different things, right?

Keep in mind, tuning in NZ and AUS are alot different than here in NA. I see A LOT of show and no go cars coming from there (aside from a few pretty sick cars).
