First FD 1/4 mile time !
Dizastical,
Just enjoy your car, theres nothing to worry about. Personally I would take it easy on the car untill you get the power fc. Once you add that and the intakes you should be all over low 13's. Sorry if we stunk up your thread, but I don't want you to blow a motor, especially if it could have easily been avoided.

Thanks for the replies . I really had no idea that running the car with those mods without a PFC was bad for the car . The shop that built the car (clean and fast) said the car was fine to race and drive every day with no PFC . I was conserned thats why i posted . Thanks for helping me out and not giving me a hard time for not knowing . What should i run in the 1/4 with the PFC using the base map and the Apexi intakes ?

From there it pretty much became a conversation between you and I, a rather fruitless one actually.

Now this guy feels like his car is something that can't be enjoyed unless he has spent $5,000 in addition to whatever his purchase price was. That's the only thing I was trying to avoid. The rest is probably technobabble to our new friend who has never owned a turbo (how's he supposed to know/care about boost spike) car. Since we're accomplishing nothing, I recommend we agree to disagree and allow each our own proof that the other is wrong.

Have a nice day and a happy new year!
If you're ever in Birmingham, AL 94Touring look me up and I'll buy you a drink. We can go out and try to blow my motor and I'll stand in awe of how kickass yours is. I love heavily modded cars and wish I had one...

I wasn't trying to make the thread complicated, I was simply trying to avoid the poor guy having this reaction to your post. Which he had.

I appreciate your friendly offer, glad that you can be mature about a debate on the forum, unlike other members.

We kept meaning to get together and hang out, but never did.
Dizastical,
I can relate to your dilemma. I have had my car for about 4 months. I took it to the track in the first 30 days and ran a 12.75 with a 1.8 60' on street tires. I did get/have the PFC though. I had the stock cat with dp and PFS catback, PFS IC and PFS intake....and perfect weather at Sea Level.
I say...get the PFC b4 you rag on it. I have a midpipe now, but have not run again yet. I bumped my fuel up over the preset maps that come with the PFC and I have an A/F gauge (EGT on the way).
Good luck and enjoy! These cars are fun as hell and definetly turn heads.
