Sorry but I have to ask...have you done a engine rebuild before...of any kind? I HAVE NOT! I am considering do this to my FD.
I am not a mechanic..........but I am mechanically inclined and have access to a Auto Hobby Shop and tools.
WOuld you recommend giving it a try?

I have already posted in your thread, But no, this is the first engine I have ever opened up. What the two guys above me said is good advice!

Ok, so now that finals are over time to dive back into this build, Ive been collecting parts, and now I have everything I need. Here is an Idea of the direction I'll be going with the engine, black wrinkle powder coating on most of the cast alum intake components, the rest will be satin black. I want the engine to look as stock as possible, no shininess here.

If you lived in California you'd understand, the second you polish something cops think its illegal and the car gets towed haha
Thanks, the diffuser is made by Shine Auto here on the forum, its a Varis replica, its a universal piece, I had to make the brackets myself.

(Sigh of relief) Well the most stressful part of the build is now complete. It went very smooth. The only bad thing that happened was the corner piece of the apex jumped out when doing the springs and landed in the tension bolt hole :/ but I got it. Other than that, for my first build I think it went well, ended up with a perfect end play reading of .0020 on my first try

It's a lot of fun isn't it
I had a great time doing mine as well. Did you pull the tranny with the engine? Getting mine re-aligned outside the car was kicking my butt. Finally I put the engine back on the stand, flipped it so the rear was facing up, picked up the tranny and set it straight down onto the engine. Once I figured that out it was pie from there.

purely off memory so take it for what it is. its been a while...

1-3 oil/coolant gaskets... like the hard acordinan piece to the twins, oil return line etc.
4.gaskets for the twins to y pipe (back adnd front of snail compressor side) and i think the outlets aswell
9. look like crush washers for omp?
11. crush washers for the oil cooler.. inlet front of engine block, outlet by oil filter neck
5,6,13,14. not sure but one of those remind me of a gasket for the oil filler neck to engine block.
i blieve the oil pedistal for the oil filter has 3 o rings. 2 smaller ones (for the bolts) and one larger one for where the oil passes through.

thats a great start, thanks!
Im wondering between 16 and 15 they are the same size but 16 are a matte finish and 15 are glossy.
also the kit didnt seem to come with crush washers for the secondary fuel rail... I guess they dont expect you to take that apart
