poor pics for some reason. i might have to adjust the white balance on my d camera. here's the metal bracket bolted in. ......no tape here.

Do the lights actually look green? or is that just cus of the bad pics?
They look pretty nice though. Have you thought about doing a more complete write-up? HIDs are definitely in my future, just not sure when or what type.

I'd like to see beam patterns too, since you're using the stock housings, I take it? Can you point them at a wall or something from about 15 ft away, so that we can check it out? I've noticed from other photos that the beam pattern is pretty lousy if you use the stock housings, heightening the chance of the police hassling you for them if you pass them in the opposite direction.

How confident are you about that zip-lock sealing out water? 
Be sure it can drain, incase it starts collecting water and drowning the ballasts.
911GT2, the aforementioned white-balance is probably causing the green hue. Man, a green headlight would be total cop bait! Stop at a red, flash your brights, make people in the opposite direction stop think their light turned green...

the lights are ultra white not green 
the pic made it come out funny. the zip lock bags is for just extra water protection. i don't drive it in the rain. for the beam pattern my garage is on a 40 degree slope and won't help any. it was late and i was cold and tired. i might clean out my garage and see if i can get a beam pattern to work. i got them off ebay. i tried to tape it to the side with 3m and it didn't work a lick. so i took the bellasts mounts they came with modified them and drilled some holes. got some male adaptors for the harness on the headlights and just connected the. need to take the covers off and the headlight assembly which are the two screws on the assembly. you also need to pry the assembly off from the retractor assembly and just tap it back on with a small hammer and screw driver. not very hard. i will take some more pics tonight. kvn

Kevin did you get Highbeam/lowbeam bulbs?
I got my set the other week off ebay and the guy shipped me the worng ones. LOL
So anyway I am waiting now for the guy to send the right ones.
Why bother with the ziplocks if you dont drive in the rain? I would rather just mount them behind the frame for the lights, was that not an option with the length of cord?
The new front mount looks nice too btw.,

hey dave wait till you get in there. i don't have much room in there with my t78 and the uprighted rad. also the battery is still in the engine bay. where i had mounted them was the only place with adequate room. i had about maybe a foot of lenght from the bellast to the light housing. it's just low beam. i don't think i will ever need the high beam....this **** is bright. the pics don't do it justice. i have to play around with the adjustments or something but i am too lazy. i still have to install my supra pump and it's cold as ****. i just put the zip locks b/c my car was hit before i bought in the front and it has no rain or water protection in the front in terms of weather stripping. it's for when i wash my car. which isn't that much. lol i want more go than show but it's starting to look good too. gonna mount my gtc bumper this month sometime. i might call those guys you had mentioned about in the ne forums.

Kudos for doing this mod for only $340.00! Very creative. Great implementation.
I really like the concept, but are you able to control the low beam well enough with the stock lense so that you are not blinding oncoming drivers? Gloves are off with the high beams...
Every time I see a new BMW, Lexus or Merc coming down the highway on a two lane at me with their damn HID's not adjusted properly it just pisses me off to no end. It's usually 'cause they have their lard *** obese little kids in the rear seat.

it's at the same level as the stock headlights. b/c i did one at a time and they seemed to be projecting at the same spot. drove it around a couple of days and nobody flashed me. kvn

ronKmiller, all of the brands u mentioned have auto-leveling HID systems...maybe its just cuz the FD is so low to the ground I can testify to getting blinded daily by just about every car out there.

i was searching for a high/low setup too
'cause we have to have them both on our eu cars
