Finding a blown FD.. questions about them..
Yo,
I've just begun my own business recently selling aftermarket parts online and all, and I've been looking at picking up a car to go all out on as a "show car" (and no, that doesn't mean all show. this thing will be a beast when I'm done ). I've been in love with the FD forever, but lately I've been wondering about how well an FD that I was going to go all out on like that would work as a daily driver.
What I've been considering lately is picking up a daily driver (~10$k or less, maybe an FC), and then finding myself a blown FD. I used to see these on Ebay all the time several months ago, but lately I haven't seen any.
I was wondering how realistic you guys thought this was, and if it was the best option for me. Also, how much should a blown FD run? Everything in great condition, except the engine/turbos. How much would it cost to put something like that back on the road? Just the cost of a "new" engine and turbos, or am I missing some items that would be missing from a car like that
Thanks guys.

I'm a CF and poop smith
The worst thing about a RX-7 as a daily driver would be not being able to move it from one place to the next without warming up the car first before turning it off. the second would be the gas millage. If you can cope with these problems, I think that a 7 would be great for you. The just a blowed engine should run you about 4-8k depending on contion and one slightly hit will run you 800-5k just about.
Good luck with the search

Thanks.
See, neither of those things bothers me. I'm just paranoid about blowing the engine or something and being without a car for a long *** time.
Just makes me wonder if it'd be worthwhile to pick up something like an AE86 for cheap to drive around as a beater.
