Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but what the hell does "J" mean when it comes up? It beeps once or twice when it does that with no directional arrows. WTF!

I even read the directions this time and I didn't see anything about that.

Thanks,
Joe

I even waited tell I saw it a few more times before I posted. Yep its a "J" and I have no idea what it means, the directions don't say anything about that symbol. It happens randomly as far as I can tell.

I thought it could be power related but after this happens it does not go through the power up procedure like it does when you start the car.

Thanks,
Joe

Joe...when it does that, do all of the types of radar lights (vertical, I think...like Ka, X etc) light up all of a sudden? And the V-1 makes a crazy alarm sound? If so, that's what it sounds like to be hit by radar (I think).

I'll look again, but I don't think any of the band lights lite up.

I have been hit with laser and Ka band before (maybe K or X not sure) and know how it acts when you are nailed with radar, and this is nothing like that.

I'll try to keep an eye on it to give you guys more details when it happens.
Thanks

back from the dead again!

everyone might find this info useful:

What the “Dee-Dah-Doo” Tone means
Valentine One is designed to recognize — and ignore —
phony POP signals transmitted by poorly-designed
detectors. Occasionally a false alarm will be started before
verification is certain. If it then determines the source is a
junk detector, it will notify you it is retracting that alert with
a “Dee-Dah-Doo” sound. A flashing J ( ) indicating “junk”
will flash briefly in the Bogey Counter.
