My new big brakes arrived!

W00t, these are 355x55mm rotors on Project Mu 4-pot calipers (the largest set they offer, and as far as I know, i'm the first with them). The caliper itself feels sooooo much lighter than the stock one. I haven't had a chance to weigh the P. Mu caliper yet, I will after work today though. When I picked them up. . . . . all I could do was smile! This is for my time trial/track car. I can't wait to put them to use.

Sorry for the low quality pix, but someone stole my camera, so i'm left to sharing with only my picture phone. Anyhow, enjoy!

Impressed at the size of the frikkin rotor!

The stock rotor was about the size of my open hand (roughly)

One side shared my bed with me. Ole lady got the couch, haha

MMmmMMmMm

Haha, car is almost ready. . . . .

lol, yeah.... He blew up my phone last night with em, but these larger sets do more justice...

So can you even put those things on stock wheels? I'd imagine it'd be a pretty close fit, if so...

Uh I highly doubt it seeing as 355mm is almost 14 inches in diameter....

Hey Kai,

How much did you buy your stoptech's for? I might be looking into those, my buddy owns Kar Toyz Unlimited told me he can get me those as cost, 1k or so.

A hair under half of the retail. I got a good deal because I only plan on tracking the FD once everything comes together, and my sponsor wanted these used on the track, as opposed to many shops who sponsor show cars with big brake kits.

Also, a grand for the Stoptech is a great deal! Lowest price for them is around $1600.00 that i've found, the list price is $1850.00 with only sponsors and hookups giving them cheaper than that. For a grand, you can't go wrong!
