Tell ya what SiKoPaThX let me call up the original owner and ask and I'll let ya know, how's that sound. By the way let's get some pics of your car on here so we can all marvel at it. BTW, maybe I can get some more feedback about the wing b/c I haven't gotten the point already.

Is that a park bench bolted to the back of your car?

ha ha funny, lol

what do you mean?

all you have to do is take off the wing..im sorry, and its not your fault but if that was my car, as soon as i brought the car home, one of the first things i woulda done was take off the wing..too much as jimlab would say, tacky stuff..like the autozone steering wheel cover, little nick nacks here and there and of course the wing..

nice car though

Ah yes, the typical youth generation making "being different" a virtue....

Look, you post pics, you open yourself up to public opinion. Most of us regard blue, yellow, and white as a very gaudy color combination. Most of us think large tacky metal wings are not aesthetically pleasing.

Making your car different by making it gaudy shouldn't be a car owner's goal, save that for all the tools driving Escalades with 24" chrome spinners.

Ah yes, the ******* who trys to sound smart. Good for you being able to use big words like gaudy & aesthetically. The color combination was not my doing and FYI I have already removed most of the blue from the car, let me step up my schedule up and get the rest of it done ASAP so I can feel better w/ your approval. Maybe while I'm doing that you can send an IM to every FD owner out ther w/ a metal wing and using your big words tell them just how you feel. Next time you post, try sticking w/ how you feel instead of trying to speak for everyone. As for me I wouldn't want to be associated w/ your thoughts on things. BTW, this typical youth generation I would bet is probably pretty close to the same age as you. Try to quit sounding like you have years of wisdom, cause ya don't!

Your not gonna get positive responses with your attitude. Most of the Fd owners like a clean look.. They are very anti gay wing and such. You need to learn how to take constructive critism

First of all, aesthetic and gaudy are not very big words. I blewmymotorcauseirantoomuchboost, is a big word. Lighten up about the flames. Your car looks good and the wing,etc... its a matter of taste

I think I'll have to agree w/ you, that is a big word. However, you and 7 Rocket might agree that there is a difference between constructive critism and Rynberg's response. The constructive critism I don't mind, like the clear markers. Most ppl don't like them, I do. The wing I just can't do anything about b/c I have other things that need to be taken care of first. If I do take it off, then I have 8 holes in my deck that need to be filled. I'm not much on body work so I'm just going to leave it on for now. So, ha I had thought of that.

I'll be another to chime in and say that wing has to go! I'd go take it off right now and just put some plastic or rubber plugs where the holes used to be. The clear corners and other things are slightly more forgivable. Hey, if you're happy with the car who gives a $hit what we think?

I personally would rather have a few holes in my trunk that arent very noticeable, then have that wing that makes your car look better suited for an airport then the street. Just take the thing off and post some new pics. All the other stuff people can deal with. The reason people are coming down so hard on you is because, no self respecting FD owner would subject our cars to this kind of abuse. The only thing you do by having that wing on the car is make it look cheap, and lessen the value of our cars due to the appeal to the "ricer" group. We like our cars to keep their value, and don't appreciate aesthetically non-pleasing modifications being done to others' cars that turn the appeal away from the FD.

Here's an idea, since everyone hates the wing so much why not all chip in by me a R1 or 99 wing so I can replace it. Just a thought, lol

Lol you have to calm down man. Most of the people on this forum don't even own an FD (and yes, I do) so do what you want. It's your car, you saved for it, payed for it, you OWN it. Maybe when some people get up off their asses and quit being net trolls they will understand. Personally, no I do not like that wing, but people need to be more respectful regarding other people's vehicles. Criticism (this is how you spell it rocket) can be useful but it doesn't give you an excuse to make him feel like **** for something he really didn't even do to his car, it was the previous owner who installed it. If you do decide to take the wing off, do plug the holes because water will get inside and do some damage. Just had to vent I'm sick of seeing some of the opinions on here, tell the guy you don't like it if you don't, but try not to be such an *** when you do.

When I get the 99 spec wing I want, I'll sell my stock wing to you for cheap since you're a fellow midwesterner.

certainly no offense intended as its all subjective...
but this is over the top for me considering its a cym...
bothers me as much as seein an fd repainted as though it were cym...
consider this merely an opinion..
