Finally solved my starter issues.

I was having some issues with hot starts on my car. After driving the car for awhile, then shutting it off, if I were to start the car again there would be a 2-second pause before the starter would crank. I had already bypassed my factory alarm relay (the blue connector near the dead pedal), and I checked my starter, the alternator, etc. but no luck.

Well the previous owner of my car had a Clifford Alarm system installed, but he never gave me the wireless remotes so I never used it and forgot about it.

I decided to rip all that **** out of there, and in doing so I found the problem: whoever installed the starter bypass (from the key switch thing on the steering column) didn't bother soldering the connections, and only used crimp splicers. I'm also pretty sure that one of the relays included with the alarm system was going bad.

I ripped all that crap out (holy ****, there was so much of it), and re-spliced the starter wires back together as they were from the factory.

PROBLEM SOLVED.

So, if you're having starting issues, don't forget to check out your aftermarket alarm system, if you have one.
