Are those aftermarket floormat?
I got them from Mazdatrix. To be honest they are not worth the price. I had better mats for the same price.

So on the past 3 days my car has developed the clunks in the rear. Are there any alternative to the OEM pillowball bushings?

subscribed (I'd like to know about the pillows too)

Don't think I'd seen any more than your gauge cluster rebuild before man, everything looks great! We seem to have the same taste, in regards to subtle mods etc.

After doing some reading came across these

http://www.rhdjapan.com/mazda/fd3s-rx-7/bushings

There are some good options there. I wouldn't mind the atomicrex one but I heard tat getting a hold of him is hard and that it could take some time to get the product. Please, some one correct me if I'm wrong.

That good to see.

I am still a bit away from going back on mine. Getting married and building a house is not that much compatible with an FD but she is waiting for me there in the garage and I am keeping her ready for the reunion

depending on which pillowballs you're replacing I would consider just getting aftermarket parts that come with the pillowballs, toe links and trailing arms for example.

i have not bought from him yet but i believe the delays were in regards to the steering rack which seems to be a change in manufacturer issue. there are alot of posts in the pillowball thread of people having received theirs. there seems to have been an issue with the first c-clips sent which has been resolved. on the other hand i have ordered a few items from rhdjapan and the transactions went flawlessly with plenty of email updates and faster than expected shipping. i personally am going to try the atomics just because they are developing some awesome fd products and i would like to support in hopes there are more to come. thats just my 2c

Haha, that's a great update.

If you've got the budget (obviously possess the patience and ability) I say go for it!

It will take me a little bit to finish it but it is better to get started than not at all and just keep dreaming about it. Right now I'm waiting to see if I'm getting promoted. If I do there could be a chance that I might get transferred again. So I will wait on that before I make my mind.

So any one interested on my rims? They are for sale. I'm going to get new ones here soon but I need to replace my pillowball bushings and front upper a-arms, so I'm going to do a full suspension bushing swap.

So got under the car today and inspected the bushing in the front. The clunking in the front is coming from the brakes caliper clamping on the rotors and the rear is only from the trailing arm bushings. I did find a bent sway bar mount up front.

With that being said, I have decided to sell the car. It hurts to sell the car but I really don't enjoy driving the car due to my location and the conditions of the roads. I also have to travel 2 hours to any meet or an hour to a fun road but doing it by myself isn't fun to me. So I have grown bored with it and the only thing that was keeping me attach to it was working on it and dumping a lot of money into it. It go to the point where I was considering dropping a V8 because it would be fun to just do it knowing how much I hate putting a V8 in this car. So I was trying to do a lot of different things at once because I was looking for a cure to my boredom. So me and the wife have been talking for a while today and decided that it would be best to sell the car and get a GT car for me to enjoy with my family. So I'm looking into a M3 or something of that nature. I will still be active here and offer my cluster mods services.

I can't give you an excuse to top yours, but I'm trully bored with the car. I don't even want to drive it. I only drive it once a week for a total wopping 3 miles...and it isn't even fun because I have to drive around pot holes that are so big that a small child can hide in. The only reason I was liking it was because it looks good parked in the car port and it is an attention *****.

To be honest I'm quite content with my Mazdaspeed 6 so I might not even get anythign to replace it. I guess I'm getting old... no offence Gordon

Sounds like time to move! haha, jk, though I couldn't imagine living in a similar area/I've always had fun, twisty roads, nearby. Hopefully it'll go to a good home.. Personally I couldn't see myself ever driving something heavier/less fun than MX-3's & wound up in Miata's, then the same went with that & I got the FD. Now there's nowhere to go but downhill for me, lol.

When I was in Va. I had no problem finding back roads that were fun. Here is nothing but straight roads in the desert. and the roads here are TRASHED!!!!

I can't wait till I get transfered some where better than this place.

Well she is gone. Colin (integral in the forum) will take good care of her and drive it like what she was supposed to. He want to track her and have fun with it. I was painful watching her go all nice and shinny. Enjoy it Colin

Now comes the painful search for another car. I hate car shopping.
