Very nice! I also like the Mazda Speed front but I just have the feeling that it's going to be damaged by the thousands of dips on the road. But anyway your car looks great!!!

HedgeHog....

Damn man, nice car...love the back end....

Gotta know, does the MazdaSpeed wing utilize the stock spoiler holes? And what's it made out of, what color does it come from the factory?

I was told that it did but either that was mis-information or that it matched the 99 JSpec Wing. It doesn't match the R1 Spoiler so patching is required. It comes from MazdaSpeed in white gelcoat...needs primer and paint. The support brackets and the caps (where the brackets sit on) come in bare aluminum - which I painted.

oh, the Mazdaspeed GT wing DES NOT fit the stock wing holes. The two side pieces not connected to the wing fit. The wing pillars do not...actually one hole does and the other two do not.

I have one sitting in my room, I paid 900 for mine about 1.5 years ago.

I have it for sale!!! It's brand new, never mounted (never got the paint job I wanted and now I need a new engine). I have it for sale in the parts section for 800 + shipping.

That's my shameless plug

Hey Hedgehog, can I place some pics on the Yahoo club site?

WOW! looking very sharp!

but one question...can you get the 99 spec front lights in titned and non-tinted versions?? all the GT-C kitted FD's ive seen have the lights tinted, but all the FD's with the C-West, FEED, and 99 front bumpers all have clear lenses, not smoked.

am i missin somethin here???

I think the 99 spec headlights on the gtc kit are clear as well.. but it just has it's own tinted cover on top of the light..

upon further inspection of the kit, i noticed that there are covers that go over the lights to give them the tinted look.

either way, HedgeHog...you got one sick FD! really original too. i dont think anyone on this forum has the R-Magic side skirts and RE rear diffuser. also...gotta love the timeless RH C2's!

WRT the tinted covers, yes, that's exactly what they are. The stock 99 OEM has a clear cover. C-West, FEED, 99Jspec just installs the combo lights straight in. The GT-C has a tinted cover that has a black outline painted on the top part and the lower part completely black. I've seen some ppl leave the cover off so that's where others may have thought that a clear cover version is available. BTW, w/o the cover, the lights will look recessed and not flush w/ the bumper.

I suppose the current groupbuy held by Jason/RotaryExtreme can fab clear and/or tinted versions for ppl, if they so choose.

Actually, anyone else with a kit please measure up as well. I'm curious as how ppl not damage their front spoiler w/ kits like these.

Here's my specs:

Front Bumper Clearance: 4.75"
Side Skirt Clearance: 4.75"
Ground to top of wheel well (front): 26"
Ground to top of wheel well (rear): 26"

Before the kit and w/ stock rims/tires, I had a Ground to top of wheel well clearance of 25".

TIA...

BTW: I just measured my car its 5 1/2" from the ground to the car. I have a R1 front lip and still have the stock suspension.
