A few questions

Oh k

1) I am not non sequential the poor mans way (i want it reverable). Is boost control same or differant than normal?
I mean when putting on a manual boost controller

2) Dont flame me on this, but after running around town with a couple mazda speed protege's (built, and built for autoxing) i was extremely happy with how i hung with them on my drag radials though very high speed turns, in fact out performing them in almost every single way. (although mine is pretty built too)
but the only thing i didnt like was how their bov just so much louder and had a nice wistle noise to it. Now i dont want to waste money on an aftermarket bov, but has anyone modified theirs to sound good?

3) What are good afr's?

4) Oh, and [b]does anyone know what size/type, etc (trim, turbo name) our turbos are?

thx

1) Boost control is the same as before, except that the precontrol is doing nothing. Install your boost controller on the wastegate line only.

2) Unplug the hose where is connects the BOV to the airbox. You'll notice stock BOVs can be loud too. It might be a wise idea to secure something filterlike over the opening since this is on the filtered side and air might get sucked in thru this opening.

3) I think cruising (light load) afrs are around 13-14, and under boost I think most guys are in the 10-11s. Note that this only applies with wideband setups - standard AFR gauges do not output correct AFR numbers. If you have any doubts about your AFRs I strongly recommend you get it checked out by a tuning pro.

4) Hitachi HT-12s.

1) ok, since its the same as before, then what controls the different boosts between turbos?

2)Its already unpluged and flitered. Not loud enough, if you ask me, i can barely hear my bov compared to them.

3)My dyno keep in mind its no longer sequential...
I ran with a wide band out back and got low 11s, but on the dyno i was a little lower. But it did stay the same though, no sudden changes under full loads. That was just a preliminary to when i run megasquirt.

4) then if they are Hitachi HT-12s, do the have different sizes between turbos.

Ummm....hate to tell you this, but you are still sequential! And with a small boost leak or other problem on the secondary.

The stock BOV is quite loud. Perhaps you have something hooked up incorrectly.

Both turbos are the same....they are both HT-12s, how can they be different sizes?

sorry that was before when it was still sequential.
i wanna see what it would do know

and yes the bov it loud, but i was seeing if anyone has done anything to get it a little higher pitched
that and the jumpiness at the end of the power band, the correction factor was set at 0 on accident when i got the dyno files

There's no "boost control between turbos" in non sequential, they're both feeding off the same exhaust gas "reserve" if you will, granted there will be some variances in flow due to the funky manifold, but in general the whole "path of least reistance" and airflow capacity of the turbos causes them to naturally balance out as they come up to speed. Twins of different sizes is possible, the cosmo for instance uses two different sized turbos. Obviously it really only works on sequential cars to use a different size, and there are limits to how much differential there can be unless you use a hypercharging type system where a small turbo feeds through a larger one.

Probably not, are you still using the same fuel map? Its possible the fuel map changes are causing the dip.
