FEED vs Shine Auto
Im looking into buying a front bumper for my FD. I really want the FEED version 2 but I cant justify the cost. $1,900 (FEED) vs $500 (Shine Auto).
What I want to know is, what is the major difference between the two. They look almost exactly the same, is there a noticeable difference in person? From what I read the only difference is fitment, anyone agree?

From what i am told
Shine actually makes better fitting products than the high end manufacturers themselves
This statement includes FEED.
In japan these parts are made for different mindset and at a different time to begin with. Back then you didnt have numerous companies trying to emulate your product as they do know. So fit and fittement wasnt really an issue. The reareness and the function of the part was.I can name countless high ed body kits that dont fit perfect. S2Ks, toyotas alike.
Cant go wrong with Shine. I have his hood and it fit great!
Bryan with RX7 Boutique is a good source as well. I have his 99 cluster.

Let me preface that my last FD (don't own it anymore) was fitted predominantly with Shine parts and this is coming from someone who has access to just about any part imaginable. Back in college I could not justify the difference in price from Shine and FEED, not to mention shipping a front bumper is not only expensive but has a high likelihood of getting damaged. With that being said, the Shine parts fit well but not perfect and if you are a perfectionist you will need a bodyshop to align the seems perfectly. Having imported several FEED bumpers I can tell you that they do fit better than Shine however not perfect either. Any aftermarket bumper won't fit perfect, I have looked into RSC bumpers for my Lambo and those are no where near a perfect fit yet cost almost $3,000. Even though the FEED front bumper fits better, I don't think it justifies the significant price difference. Aesthetically the only difference is on the front part of the bumper, if you look closely in pictures, the FEED front bumper is more smooth/curved where the inlets on the front are where the Shine is more edgy.
Then again you can also make the arguement that you should be supporting manufacturers like FEED who spend a tremendous amount on R&D to produce new products for the FD to only have other vendors blatantly rip off the design. This will and does limit future new products from companies like FEED to the point where it has caused several companies to go out of business. Having owned Rx7 Boutique for the last 5 years, I have seen very few crossover buyers who are debating between replica and authentic yet can afford the full price of the authentic piece anyways.
Here is a picture of my old FD with the Shine front bumper, fenders, sideskirts and rear quarter panels.

i can't speak for feed but i have the shine "feed" style front bumper and front fenders. they fit great. out of all the kits i have used on my other cars (ebay, VIS, origin) shine fits way better than those. they're even with wings west and greddy. wings west and greddy fit like oem parts

First of all if I do decide to buy it ill be grabing it off you lol. The reason why this is even a problem to me is most of the time we buy the real authentic item, shoes, clothing electronics. It doesnt feel right buying a knock off. Shine auto is very good at what they do and people from this forum seem to really like them. The smart thing to do is buy it off shine auto what I stilk want to do is get the real thing lol. Now that I know they both fit well and are high quality the only thing I have to decide is do I want to have that feeling of owning a genuine feed item.
You mentioned it usually get damaged during shipping. Im here in Canada so either way I would need it shipped, how damaged do they tend to get?
Lastly just out of curiosity, how much does a used version 2 type r go for ?
