CYM FTW man!!

But for the article, good color. Remember the Kuboto or whatever it's called concept car Mazda has? If they make a new RX-7, I hope it doesn't look like that. Even the RX-8 doesn't look anywhere as good as the FD. I like how the pony cars are taking design cues from the old versions (BTW, the Camaro is definitly the best looking one of them all) and Mazda should take a hint (but not date back to the 110 Cosmo or anything, haha). But again, it would be almost impossible to improve on the FD's looks. How can you? You would have to create somethign new completely...How about limited runs of new FD's running the turbos in parallel with bigger brakes and 17's? Say 500 a year? I like that.

My reasoning.... Our cars are not for everyone. Yes they look amazing and turn heads everywhere. But because they are older & known to be unreliable, the require a certain kind of owner. I believe that factor scares away most average people that just want a cool fast car.

If Mazda created another new Rx7, it would turn into a Mustang, new Camaro, or STI. You would see them everywhere because, yes they are "cool" fun car's, but all you need to purchase one is some cash. How many Rx8's do you see a day?....

No thanks...
Amen....precisely my thoughts
