FD3S won't start after PFC install

Hi everybody... finally changed over to a PFC! ..

The fuelpumps are working (have 2 oem fd3s pumps)
so fuel pressure is there
ive swapped to 850 primaries and 2000 sec.

have removed all the emissions stuff all solenoids everything... no omp ... no airpump no nothing... just bare engine wir a huge turbocharger... stock map sensor/ stock tps etc. just barely what it needs to run...

it used to "run" with a modified stock ecu by panspeed... but got in limp mode real quick thats the reason i swapped to the pfc + put the sec. inj. in the primary space and isntalled 2000 inj. as sec. this was the last mod i did and now it wont start!

its like no fuel no spark! Rpm stays at 0 ... and no fuel smell so i guess no fuel beeing injected! engine just cranks but doesnt fire up....

Battery was low so i used booster cables to try to get it started V. was at 13 and dropped to 8-9 when cranking!
fuel pumps are working! fuel pressure is there .. but i dont see anything getting injected... removed plugs... no signs of overfueling so i removed the pfc
and installed the stock ecu again (wich clearly wont let the engine idle in any way with the 850 primaries and all the other stuff removed

but i could feel the engine trying to start with that ecu ... there was spark and fuel smell after cranking... so i guess the problem is with the pfc!!!

What could cause this problem with the pfc?

thx a lot

^^ eehm... not really... just leaned it on the stock ecu position... could that be the issue?

Did you reset the parameters of the PFC? If it's not new, it may still have the old owner's tune on it.

yeah resetted it . set the injectors at 850 / 64,5 % and 0.04 lag time...

left the sec. at 850 as i just wanted to start it for now but that cant be the reason why its not starting i guess ... btw. its a s4 and a vers. 5 controller... well i rewired the fuelpump directly to the bat. just to make sure there is enough voltage on the fp !
will upload a pic of the sensor check in a couple of min.

could there be something wrong with the cas trigger as there is no rpm and i guess therefore no spark... and no fuel ... ? that would be my next guess :/ or is my pfc busted ...

does the tachometer bounce with the other modded stock ECU connected? it should start even with the 850's on the modded ECU but obviously idle like crap.

make sure your ground straps from the engine harness actually got bolted down(injector ground is bolted to the rear rotor housing and the ECU ground is bolted to the UIM backside) and that your crank triggers are plugged in solidly without any grease or crap inside the connectors. the white connector is closest to the crank, grey is towards the p/s pump, if they are reversed it won't start, also make sure the reluctor ring made it back onto the engine under the main pulleys, without it the triggers will have no reference point.

you may also need to follow deflooding procedures once you do actually find the RPM trigger issue.

a 9v drop with a jumper connected is normal, it is no replacement for a fully charged main battery so charge it up.

Thank u so much! had the crank trigger connectors swapped .. well swapped em to the right order ... it tried to fire up! lots of fuel smell comin out of the exhaust ^^+ low battery aggain -.- =flooded engine ^^ ... but now that it tries to fire up im pretty confident ill get it running soon.. will buy a new bat. tomorrow and try again after deflooding the engine ill let u know how it works out thanks again dude u are awesome!!!

Why did your old ecu go into limp mode? Did you fix what was causing this or are you just throwing in the PFC?

If the CAS connectors are reversed, the car won't be able rev which will basically seem like limp mode. Most likely, that's been his main problem the entire time.

The old ecu threw me intolimp mode cuz i have the omp removed as well as all the emissionsstuff and ratsnest!!! So as i removed the engine to install a new clutch i thought id trim the harness aswell for a singlesetup just to make everything look nice and tidy .... And i guess i connected the cas connectors wrong after that...

There should be a ground cable that comes out of the harness that goes into the PFC , there is a bolt nearby for grounding it . make sure its clean and bolt the ground to the chassis
