did the usual when buying a used rx7

- change all fluids
- flush the coolant system
- replace fuel filter
- replace stock radiator with aluminium aftermarket and ducted
- change all coolant and vacumn hoses to silicone
- replace ast

interior
- have boost, water, oil temp greddy gauges.
- bride bucket seats
- sabelt racing harness
- autotech technometer w shift lamp
- full roll bars
- momo steering wheel
- short shifter

exterior
- old model veilside kit
- re vented hood
- re intercooler pipings
- re headlights
- '99 rounded style taillights
- 17" volks racing c ultra 3 spoke mags (235 front, 255 back)
- hks hipermax 3 coilovers
- lighten the doors
- blitz bov
- raizen grounding kit

here comes the question, i read alot on the faq and its really helpful, thank you

- im trying to hit 12psi and 300 rwhp, what other mods do i need, bcoz the more i read on this forum and other sites, the more confused i get, there are too many conflicting opinions on this and i didnt dare to remove the main cat.

i have currently,
- 2 m5 air intake
- downpipe
- hks 4" muffler

do i have to get the pfc, apexi boost controller, a/f ratio gauge, knock sensors, fuel pressure gauge, ported wastegate, upgrade injectors, fuel pumps and aftermaket intercooler just to get to 12psi and 300 rwhp?

and what's the path needed if i want to get to 350rwhp in the future. pls try to be more specified, im a newbie afterall.

pls advise

Get:

* PFC or some other remapped ECU
* Electronic boost controller

Given you aren't too far from Japan, you may be able to get a remapped ECU from Re-Amemiya or Knightsports pretty easily. I would also suggest a decent SMIC replacement as well.

You should be able to make 300 with a PowerFC/Full Exhaust/Intake... get some water injector to be safe. GL.

All that other stuff will help if you plan on going to 350rwhp (trust me, you'll want to go there eventually) so buy all that stuff now if you can. You can get to 300 relatively easy with some good tuning...I would go high flo cat vs mp but that's just me.

ok try this on for size:

CAI (real cold air one)
IC upgrade
DP
MP
Exhaust
Ported wastegate
Boost controller set at 10 psi
Stock ECU (yes stock)

manitain the boost at 10 psi ROCK solid, no creep nor spikes *very important* and i can't stress enough 10 psi solid otherwise kaboom!. Dyno the car and if the turbos and engine are healthy you should be real close to 300RWHP. If not then get an ECU so you can up the boost to 12 psi.

+1 On this, especially the ported wastegate for a midpipe. Search the term "boost creep" and youll get 1,001 helpful results.
