FD3S engine/ecu model question?

In my process to buy a "new"/replacement engine for my 95 FD i came across an engine that supposedly is from a JDM 1995 FD3S, although i could not get the part number of the ECU's on my current engine and the new one i found to match. ( could not get the engine number from the new engine)

The current engine i have has an ECU labeled N3D3 and the new engine has an ECU labeled N3F1. The engine i found also has a aluminum Y-pipe as apposed a plastic one, as my old one has.
Does anyone know if this could be an engine from a 96 FD and therefor be a 16bit ECU and not a 8 bit?
I have searched the forum and found somethings about this subject, however these threads where mostly regarding the 99 spec FD Vs older ones (N3G1).

It is a Series 7 engine and 16-bit ECU, the N3F1 (MT) and N3F2 (AT) ECUs were introduced in 12/95. The aluminum 'efini' Y-pipe is a clear sign of a S7/8 engine or a retrofit onto a S6 one. S6 J-spec ECUs are N3A7 and N3A8 for MT & AT respectively, while S8 ones (introduced in 12/98) are the N3G1 through N3G3

Thnx. That confirmed my suspicion, so to speak. If you know of a site or document that with the details you have here that would be great. Now its just a matter of buying the engine.....
