Fd running really lean

So just imported the car from Japan auction
thought she was running fine there but after we got the car the shes been extremely lean and dp is bright red on start up idle
it’s a single turbo 13b
mall we did is change oil and spark plugs because car wouldn’t turn on. Battery completely dead but we checked compression it was around 125 average. Ecu is apexi had to get a commander for it.

Any help is appreciated

may just need a retune/reflash of the ecu due to the difference in elevation between japan and dubai?

Yeah after doing a bit of research it could be a number of things
and tune is definitely one of the causes unfortunately in Dubai no one wants to tune using apexi specially a rotary
cars at a shop now checking the fuel systems and the spark plugs the Teck said it’s misfiring a bit so just checking everything around the motor.

@oudy moved your thread to the 3rd gen forum to get proper attention on it.
Sounds like you have the troubleshooting going well checking fuel and spark. See if you can get your hands on the map and you can post it and get feedback on whether it looks appropriate to a single turbo setup.

There are a few members who are in Dubai and nearby across the Mediterranean.

Thanks mate we changed the sparks again and found out one of the injectors kick in and out so sending it to be cleaned
the cars running now the teck increased the fuel from the regulator and he said there were some vacuum leaks. He said cars not misfiring now and afr is at 12 not sure if that's still a bit lean or a good amount.
I'm going to try finding a way to get the map but I think it might be a struggle. Don't have any way to connect to the commander

Theres a datalogit for sale right now. It would be advised to upgrade to a supported ecu though.

Thanks man i want to switch to halteck but Its easier said than done now a days
Tried every dealer in town and abroad to get the ecu with harness for the 13b either out of stock or they don't ship to Dubai 🙄
So now the plan is to get a 1500 ecu from halteck that's plug and play then get the rywire harness but hats if any in stock
On the bright side finally found a reputable shop here that's willing to take her in after 3 weeks they said it shouldn't be alot of work but want me to get in the parts before I go in

For the original issue, if your downpipe is glowing that's normally swapped plug wires. You have to have timing WAY off for that to happen, triple-check that the plug wires are connected properly after you installed spark plugs. And by that I mean Leading 1 coil goes to Leading 1 plug, Trailing 1 coil goes to Trailing 1 plug, etc.

I can check your map if you get a datalogit and send it to me.
