FD road trip

i just took the FD out to San Jose from my home in the south bay. roughly 350 miles. left at 9:15 saturday night. got there in about 4 hours. the 5 north was EMPTY! average speed was 95. and at one point, i put the brights on and saw clear for a couple miles, and punched it it was the first chance i had to drive this fast. i got the FD up to 150! it was very stable and it felt like it could have gone for more but i decided against it as i was passing a high wind area sign. i felt this was in my best interest, hehe. it was really cold when i tried this, below 50 degrees as it was around midnight. the car ran great!

the car consumed about half a quart of oil over the hole trip, which IMO is not too bad. also i noticed when i arrived in San Jose the air pump hose came off the high flow cat, not quite sure why. i dont think this is a big deal as i just replaced it.

overall this trip was a wonderfull experience, i got 19mpg when i drove "normal" on the way back. the only thing that was not great was that it has no cup holders. thats fine for city driving but for a road trip, they help a lot! and oh yeah my cruise control does'nt work so my leg would cramp after a while, but what are you gonna do. i would definately take this car for another road trip. it was a blast!
