FD Question strange sound pass. front tire?
So recently iv been hearing a strange clukting knocking types of sound as i speed up it speeds up. When i gently tap the break it stops. I took the car to a local shop an had them check my brake everything was road safe. He did say that that in side the brake harness the thin metal clamp that i think hold the pads together broke in the middle. Having said that its just hard to belive that it can make that much noise. I hope I explained my issue please let me know what you think. Happy new year congrats we made it!

This clamp keeps pressure on the pads so they do not jiggle as they wear. Wear creates a gap between the piston and pad.
Try to replace it and see if it goes away. I would definitely get a jack and start getting your hands dirty. Unless you're physically unable, you need to be learning and figuring these small things out. This will help you be more versed when the big things come up.
