the fans cut on, even when i use the A/C trick to turn them on early t hey cut on, but it still does not go below 200. It usually stays between 180-190 but if the fans are not on it rises up to almost 260
i am hoping it is just a stuck thermostat as it was replaced just because 2 years ago, is there an easy way to fix a stuck thermostat? i got plenty of coolant. and shouldnt have any air pockets as the coolant hasn't been touched since last year

doesnt look like it, it almost sounds like the thermostat might have got stuck, i drove it to a sports complex to play a pick up game, it was fine then when i was done started it up and it looked like it didnt cool off and stayed at 200 with fans on and almost 240 with fans off
Have you got the stock tray which goes under your engine?
My car was missing mine when I bought it, and I would regularly see temps of 90+ (celcius) as a result.
And, not to nit-pick, but I thought Culpepper was spelled with two p's (or three a the case may be).. I know I've been gone for awhile (I'm originally from C'ville, can't wait to come home
) but didn't realize it's been *that* long

haha nah its one p. ya i have the undertray still. i drove it around yesterday in traffic just to put it thru some stress and it seemed to do fine...i think the fans for some reason just didnt cut on...but one other question, if your thermostat gets stuck, how do you go about fixing that problem without replacing it? do you have to take it out?
Also, if you do have the undertray there for the stock radiator position, you'll use your fans less as your radiator will be more effective with the incoming air being forced into the radiator (rather than just exiting under the car). So, will cooling work without the undertray? Absolutely. Will it work well? That depends on the setup.
Pull the thermostat and test it. It may be on it's way out. If you don't know when the last time it was changed out, now wouldn't be a bad time to do it. A new OEM thermostat is never a bad thing.
i would not let it go higher than 230 or you could cause damage to your engine.
