FD mechanic near Daytona?!

Hi, I have a 93 touring and the radiator is leaking I believe. I have Autoway warranty which covers it, but I need to find a good mechanic to do the job. Can anyone recommend someone close to Daytona Beach area? I'd rather not take it to Daytona Mazda if I can help it.. :P

Thanks

Thanks Garret. Mine is a Silverstone/red interior, but I don't remember going to Home Depot lately! :P Maybe I was passing by there and you saw me.

I will call your guy Chad. The only problem with that is I'm guessing he is in Ft Lauderdale. And transport to there is an issue. I may check out Import Performance in Daytona today. Have you heard anything about them? http://importedperform.micronpcweb.com/

Thumbs up

If you have'nt been to home depot than I guess we never met. How long have you had your car and been in the daytona area? Chad is delivering my car in a week if you want him to check out your problem. I would not trust import performance or whoever they are. There are a small amount of people that know what to do right to these cars. They will get in deeper and probably screw more things up in the process. Let me know if you want to meet him or it would be a good idea to chat w/ him. He knows 3rd gens inside and out. You can check out his work when you see my car! Chad is a nice guy and very informative....Garret

I talked to the guy Chad from Petit. He's a *super* nice guy. Talked to me for quite awhile about my car. It seems everything is ok. He said it probably released some pressure into the overflow reservoir once I turned the car off after the long trip, which is why the coolant came out from the right headlight area. Sure enough, when I topped it off, it only took about 14 oz to fill it back up. What a relief! I was scared it was something major.

Garrett, he was telling me about your car..... I can't wait to see it when he brings it dude. From how he describes it, it sounds like you went ALL-OUT! The straight exhaust, air-separator, and cold air intake are some of the first things I'll probably have him do on mine. He knows RX7s, that's for sure.

He even told me how to stop that little smokey and oil smell I get sometimes. He told me how to do it myself, but I didn't understand! I'm gonna have him look mine over when he brings yours up.
