Where do you come off acting like an ***.
The link I posted is not my site. The intake pipes I sell are not the samething as the ones on ebay. Hence the price difference jackass.

Next time, think before you post.

Just a heads-up about the turbohoses web site.

As you can tell, its not very... shall we say up to date... and it does not have a data feed to UPS or Fedex. The shipping appears as $0.00, but you do actually get billed for shipping AND handling. Quite a bit actually!

I can't believe they don't spend the extra couple of hundred bucks to get a shipping feed...

So, do Explain Jason, I mean I've always been happy with everything I've bought off you, but there is quite a price difference, and I could see that the thickness and quality come into play, but then again, thickness means more weight, so that's not always an advantage...

What makes these worth $180 more than the e-bay ones !?

Turbo Hoses

I've always hesitated about spending $250 for the kit, even though I desparately wanted it. When I saw the Ebay deal, I couldn't pass it up for the $60- it's a heck of a deal. But, like everything else in life, you get what you pay for.

The lower polished elbow now sits on my workbench, because it doesn't fit. The upper pipe is on the car, but not without a bunch of pushing, shoving, and misalignment. The couplers are not premium quality silicone, and the clamps are crap. So, my suggestion? Save your $60, and put it towards Jason's kit. It probably fits perfectly.

There are a few differences between the kit I sell and the one on ebay.
The kit I sell has alot better polish and the silicone couplers are a higher quality. I have seen the ebay pipes and they looked cheesy.
Im not trying to rip anyone off with my pipes. My cost on them is alot higher than the ebay pipes. If I could lower the price and make money I would. I cant comment on the fitment of the ebay pipes. I Have not seen them installed.

I knew that quality was an issue, since nothing can be sold at 1/5 th the price and be worth anything.... especially in tools or car parts... unless you have a lifetime warrenty and full money back satisfaction, and even then I'm suspicious, cause I've been there with my busted *** water pump and another $500 for labor to remove it and replace it with the "Free" $100 pump to replace the busted one... what a DEAL THAT was !!!

you could always just make your own pipes and goto Napa for the Silcone Couplings
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...rt=HOK%2D32597

Have about 50 for the pipe and 20 in couplings.
Not saying anything bad about the piping kit or Jason, because he has been top notch with me, Just thought I would throw this out in case someone is a do it yourselfer.
later guys,
Ralph

One point I would like to make about those hose kits... they need a bead welded/flanged on their ends to keep the hose couplings from slipping under pressure, in my opinion.

No offense, but those prices are absolutly rediculous! $120 for 4 hump hoses, and they don't even throw in the clamps? $250 for two short mandrel bent pipes and 4 couplers? Ouch.

I have the ebay pipes too. They bottom one does not fit on the stock airbox. I had to cut it up to make it work and even then it doesn't fit very well. The top one isn't bad. With an after market open element intake, the pipes might fit better. The clamps I got were good. Same as the ones in this kit.

On another note - the customer service at turbo hoses really sucks ***!

I'm ******* pissed at these guys. They are too cheap to integrate the automatic shipping feed to UPS into their shitty web site. Somehow 2nd day air was selected during the order. Probably cuz I was clicking around trying to see how much shipping would cost. Maybe I didn't notice it after checkout. The 2nd day air carried throughout the order. Only after I complained about getting billed up the wazzoo for shipping did they put up the red text about shipping only being calculated after the fact.

They also don't respond to emails. I have to return something and the morons have not responded to any of my 3 emails! I checked their site again just now and noticed that they finally have a returns link. They want a 15% restocking fee! *******!

Next time I'll just stick with Summit. The same clamps are $3.

dude - they are not the same. didn't you read the thread? take a chill.

i bought a set too and so did another guy. Here are the difference:
1. the ebay pipes do not fit as well as Jason's. **** the lower pipe doesn't fit at all till i cut it up.
2. the ebay pipes are cheap aluminum vs. Jason's stainless steel.
3. Jason's couplers are of higher quality.

Check the facts dude. If I had to do it again, I'd spend the extra $$ on it. As it is now, I've spent hours cutting the bottom pipe to make it fit, I had to buy new couplers b/c the ones it came with sucked $50, new clamps $20. I could have just had something that worked right out of the box.

Alberto_mg: Yes I did read the thread...did you?

I was quoting Koolzero1's dumb *** comment and responding to it by saying:

^^^ What the hell is this?! No one is forcing you to buy the stuff and the stuff is not the same anyway. Have some respect and a little more courtesy. Unbelievable.
I read my post and I guess it looks confusing but chill, I'm on Jason's side and I do realize that they are not the same. Read above again in my quote.

I would never talk bad about Jason. Early on (2000)he helped me big time and I even bought my exhaust and my C-west lights thanks to him.

So read my thread again and
Check the facts dude.
.

Kudos to everyone for defending Jason.
