FD Idle

whats usually the normal idle for the car as far as rpms?

mine just usually stays around 1500 rpm, i mean i always thought that was fine but after looking around i read some people had problems with that? is it supposed to be lower?

Should be around 750-800 or so RPM's once it's warmed up...

how can i lower my idle? i mean the less the better right?

Most cases you would wanna find out why your idle is high in the first place. Do you have a Boost/Vac gauge? If not get one. Low Vac could be a cause i a high idle. If you find you VAC is 15in/mg or better then the way you would adjust you idle is by turning the screw on the thottle body. It is between the UIM and the intake elbow little bit north of the throttle cable. You need a 8mm wrench with a mini screw driver. loosen up the nut and turn the screw to the left. This will lower you idle, but you will only wanna lower it 1/4 to 1/2 turns at a time. I have my idle set at 1k just cause it idles better there with out a air pump, so just figure out where you car runs best at between 1k and 750.
