Post Pics of body kits Please(too lazy to search)

Ok guys, I am about 2-3 months away from completely redoing the exterior of my car to something say a bit more eye catching but at the same time tasteful..........money is not an option.

Please post pics of bad-*** kits out there and lets debate weight/looks.

Thanks and hope this doesn't bore you like it does my wife

FD3Boost, tough to beat the look of the 99 stock.

How does the 99 stock airflow compare to the PFS front end? Does it help cooling as much? Does it enhance options for cold air ducting? Most of the fronts look, dare I say it, Rikki. There is one from Apexi that I like, shown at the BNR site, but my primary concern is functional: more cooling.

Thanks.

If you want more airflow, then there are cheaper and better ways of doing it, like the fan mod and a larger radiator.

Or just take the front bumper off altogether.

I'd say that the air flow on 99 stock is pretty good. The ducyts are bigger than the earlier version. Plus it looks real nice. THe PFS front is also well designed in that the ducts are large and there is plenty of room for air flow.

Just a little 411 for those who don't know... the "pfs front bumper" is nothing more than a copy of the Knight Sports Type II front bumper with pfs' name on it. Sorry, couldn't resist.

RX340, thanks, good to know that the PFS front end is a copy of the Knightsports Type II.

Better to know however, that Peter Farrell, a Mazda road racer with lots of experience in the need for keeping the temps under control, selected it.

When racers make selections from the parts bin we are well advised to pay attention.

You are not correct with your statement.

It is true that the Knightsport nose inspired the design of my nose but with significant change.
The Knightsport nose used wrap around Toyota MR2 park lights. I did purchase one from Japan back in 1992 and it was used on my Hot Pink Pearl RX7 (pic shown below) that was featured in many magazines back in the day.

I liked that basic style and paid to make changes to suit my taste and incorporate the RX7 park light assy's (this was not available from Knightsport at that time) and produced the new design under the PFS name. I used another revision of this nose on my Purple Miata.

Now if in fact the image you have provided of the white nose is from Knightsport then I believe that THEY may well have copied mine.

Erebuni DID copy yours, or, if Knightsports copied your revision, then Erebuni maybe copied that . Erebuni doesn't have any original designs for the FD FWIW, everything they sell is a copy of someone elses design. Interesting history lesson on the KS bumper, didn't know that...

I hired Erebuni in 1992 to produce the revised nose for me. Unfortunately the quality was so poor I had to find another vender. Erebuni continued to sell my piece, but the low quality continued.

BTW. I see that Knightsport discontinued their design that used the MR2 lights and replaced it with WELL, one that looks very similar to the design I had Erebuni produce for me in August 1992.

you cant go wrong with the 99 spec conversion, it gives the fd a face lift basically....i think its best for if you want to keep the general look of the FD present....if not, then GTC is really nice and RE Amemiya is badass also

all i say is dont go with veilside, personally i think its ugly and dont go cwest....everybody and their dog has cwest
