The AWS connector is not listed above (or perhaps I missed it). The clip has broken on mine and I'd like to replace it. Picture below.

That picture looks like a sumitomo DL 090, but they keying is different. Best guess is to try this:
https://www.corsa-technic.com/item.p...ategory_id=157
It's from the TS series, but I think sometimes they're compatible, and the keying looks right

Thanks. I have ordered one. I also ordered one of these, which appears to have the same form factor:

https://www.corsa-technic.com/item.php?item_id=610

The ISC also appears to use the same connector so perhaps this will kill two birds with one stone. [Correction: Not true. See post 65 above for the ISC connector.]

So, both the grey Sumitomo TS090-2S-1 and black Sumitomo MT-2S-7 above work as replacement AWS connectors.

I picked the MT-2S-7 because in black it looks like the OEM Mazda connector.

Despite similar form factors and keying, neither of these are 100% identical to the original connector. For one, they do not have the orange plastic insert and this insert does not work with them. However, they both work perfectly and clip and unclip from the AWS receptacle pretty easily and the pins fully line up.

Are there any logos or shapes on the original connector? I've found Furukawa is used in some places, they sometimes put a small triangle on the component.

Nope. No markings at all.

The original is almost 100% a Sumitomo DL 090, that orange insert is the tell-tale sign (go look at pictures of other Sumitomo DL connectors and you'll see what I'm talking about). The standard DL 2-pin uses a different keyway and won't work; I'm guessing the original is a custom order that Mazda made direct from Sumitomo, and it's not really available from small quantity distributors.

If the Sumitomo MT works then I'd use that and not worry about it.

So I broke another release clip on a connector.

This time it was the green EGR connector. (This is the fairly widely available Sumitomo 6195-0003, which is common to the air pump, the crank angle sensor, the speed sensor, and one of the transmission connectors.)

During my search for this connector, I found the correct Sumitomo DL 090 connector for the AWS. It is the 6195-0062. It is available online from a company called Cycle Terminal here: Sumitomo DL .090 - 2.3mm Connector and Terminals-0062 61

I figured out the deal with the Idle Air Control Connector.
Must have been some weird co-lab between Sumitomo and Yazaki.

Housing is a Yazaki:
7223-1324

Terminals are the same as the older Sumitomo Sealed ranges:
1500-0110 (Tin, 0.3-1.25 mm^2 wire)
8240-4828 (Tin, 2.0 mm^2 wire)

Seals are also Sumitomo:
7160-8234 (1.7-2.7mm wire outside diameter)

The connector doesn't appear in any of the Yazaki / Sumitomo catalogues, but they still look pretty available with a quick google.

You mean this?

https://www.corsa-technic.com/item.p...ategory_id=192

There appear to be several Yazaki connectors with a part number beginning in 7223-1324 (though it is possible that the two digit postfix appended to this number is to indicate different colours).

Yeap, that's the one. Should be able to find them cheaper than Corsa Technic now though, although that are great to deal with if you just want singles of things.

The two digit suffix is just the colour (going by their part number scheme for the rest of their connector lines).

I needed to replace a connector on my ECU harness and decided to order all four connectors above since they are pretty cheap. I discovered that two of the four ECU connectors listed in the original post are incorrect. Connectors (1) and (2) are correct but (3) and (4) are not only incorrect but they have a completely different pin count than the ECU female receptacles.

Connectors (3) and (4) should be 12- and 22-pin. The part number for the 12-pin connector is 174913-7 and for the 22-pin is 174515-7. As with connectors (1) and (2), both are TE/AMP. All four connectors are OEM yellow.

These connectors can be readily found on Mouser.com or the like.

Never found the manufacturer, but in case people have my issue, the dimmer from the na miata, and the early 92 protege match the FD plug, just have to swap out pins.

the later 90’s Mazdas do NOT fit. So happy scrap yard hunting

I just bought these parts last week.
These are the harness connectors for the FD ECU.
You can see the DigiKey and Mouser part numbers. Neither of these vendors had all 4 of the connectors

(1) 22pin (2 rows of 11 pins)
TE/AMP PN 174515-6 Hybrid I/O Conn Plug HSG 22P (brown)
Mouser# 571-174515-6

(2) 12pin (2 rows of 6 pins)
TE/AMP PN 174913-7 Hybrid I/O Conn Plug HSG 12P (yellow)
Mouser# 571-174913-7

(3) 16 pin (2 rows of 8 pins)
TE/AMP PN 174514-6 Hybrid I/O Connector HSG 16P (brown)
DigiKey# A122354-ND
This part has end of life of 09/30/2036
There are no substitutes once is it gone
It says Sep 30 2036
But, there are 255 in stock, and it sounds as if there may not be anymore made.

(4) 26 pin (2 rows of 13pins)
TE/AMP PN 174516-6 Hybrid I/O Conn Plug HSG 26P (yellow)
DigiKey# 174516-6-ND
