FD garaged...blows blue smoke
When I start it now that its cold, it blows a little blue smoke for about 4 seconds or so then it goes back to normal. I start the car every weekend and run it until normal operating temp. Anyone know why it blows the smoke upon start up? Should I be concerned about it. I met another person with the same problem at about 60-65k miles.

at least 50% of all rotaries do that - it is because the layout of the engine allows small amounts oil from the rotor to drain into and collect in the combustion/exhaust area (bottom) of the housing when not running and it then burns off during startup. unless the smoking continues for more than a minute after startup I wouldn't worry about it.
