FD Fuel Mileage VS Mods

Last spring and early summer I did all my mods(see below)... since then, see attached pic, my fuel economy has gone to the crappers. No change in driver habits that I am aware of... is this typical? Is there anything I can do to make this better or is it downhill from here. Simply put more power = more fuel? But I think the fuel consumption increase is not directly proportional to the power increase.

(2003 AVG is 15mpg, 2002 AVG is 16.5mpg for the US folks - (red lines on pic))

If your AF is mixed right, you can then try less cold starts by combining your errands into longer trips. Cold starts run very rich and kills mileage. Also, make sure your injectors are clean (run some Techron FI cleaner) and tires are properly inflated.

Basically, with the rotary, you're right with regards to mods=less fuel mileage. Especially anything that opens up the exhaust and allows the turbos to spool quicker. Any time the turbos are spooling over ambient atmospheric pressure, you're sucking more fuel...

when i had just an exhaust on my car I was still getting only 13 miles to the gallon . Thats including freeway mileage. If i spent a tank on just the streets it would come down to near 11 mpg. but i drive really hard.

I bought my FD not concerned about fuel. I bought my 1300cc secondaries and new fuel pump and new turbos, full exhaust, not worried about fuel. Why? I would sell my FD if I worried about fuel. The **** you gotta put up with to have a ride like we have.

If you are really concerned with gas mileage, you should buy another car. Even a stock FD is going to get lousy gas mileage, unless it is going 70mph on the freeway. That's life in the fast lane.

I was always curious as to my gas milage....being non-seq....so for a few fill-ups, I documented it. These are all combined freeway and city, mostly city though.

I averaged over 20mpg one tank, about 20 the next tank....which involved some friday night racing, and over 20mpg again the third tank. I was shocked, cause this seems REALLY good...especially with having downpipe, no cats, and a catback exhaust.

I realize that more power=more fuel.... but I backfire constantly and figured I was running too rich... anyways here are my mods if anybody has any input... Im thinking there is alot of room for tuning if I had a standalone... and actually alot of the time I am running below stock boost since my low setting is at 9psi....
