fd exhaust dilemna

I am planning to get a greddy sp2 exhaust for my 93' fd, but ive got a problem. I also was going to buy a rx7 store downpipe and high flow cat, but i really want a midpipe. The problem with getting the midpipe is that when its time for emisssions is that i would have to put the stock cat back on but it wont fit on the downpipe. Any ideas??

the after market dp should bolt right up to midpipe or stock cat if im not mistaken

i had a hks dp and bolted to my stock cat just fine and my mazdatrix mp worked just as well

just get a hi flow cat man and get the best of both worlds

do you have a single turbo? Most dp mp combos fit fine. Addtionally the mp can usually just be swapped out with the stock cat come emission time.

Are you running some type of boost controller?

Yeah, buy a quality made downpipe that actually has good fitment, and then you won't have to worry about it lining up with the stock cat.
