fd deal
I found an fd for 8 k around it's an auto but has low mileage(50,000-60,000) and is stock. Is it worth it to get it and do a manual swap or just wait for another deal?
That is a steal...buy it...manual trans convertion shouldn't cost too much if you have the parts yourself..you can probably get it off some members here... all in all you will have a low mileaged manual trans fd for around 9500...and if the paint bothers you to much you can repaint it a different shade of blue..IBM is nice and it would of cost you around 14k for a low mileaged fd with fresh paint and a fresh transmission

Not worth the hassle to swap to manual. I was looking into doing that to a great deal on a Supra I came onto but all the shops I called said that it wasnt worth it for the price you would have to pay and such. I would say wait till you find a better deal and one will come around. Plus I love the montego blue color think it looks great but get a black one its the best looking.
I wouldnt bring it to a shop, do it yourself. Alot of people here have done this, im sure if you have any questions you can search and find whatever you need to know, or you can just ask. good luck.
By the way that is a great steal.

i think auto and color had to kill the deal....i bought my car with that same color blue....i repainted it interior/exterior costed me $1000 for some PPG paint..that's only the price of the paint....lucky my uncle was nice enough to help me paint it for free....
anyway that car is a great deal if u don't plan on the manual covert and color change....like they say it's not worth the headache...

I would say its not worth it to do the swap if yo dont do it yourself. I also say dont buy a car that is a color you dont like, you will only regret it. Wait till you can find a car that better suits you. Meanwhile you will be able to save more money and get what you want.

hmmm good points. I was interested in this fd because it's like the only one around me with a price tag thats not over 14k and the low mileage just brought me in
. The color is actually in pretty good condition I guess it could do. So the real question is sould I wait for another 7 with probably high mileage manual and perferable color or grasp this opportunity. Doesn't the low mileage count for somthing?
